Tim Bowen

Who is Tim Bowen?
In the past few months over 60,000 views on Youtube and countless shows up and down the coast of New South Wales have had heads turning and left many asking this very same question.
This young and talented singer/songwriter, from the small coastal town of Minnamurra, just south of Wollongong, has been making waves with his life-inspired folk/pop music and has been described as having “a form crafted well beyond his years”.
Having recently returned from Europe after a 2 month travelling and writing stint throughout Ireland, Italy, Spain, France and the UK, he’s jumped back into the game and is currently immersed in the planning and production stages of his debut EP, to be released later this year.
2010 brought many successes
- a singer/songwriter competition win at the well-established El Rocco’s bar in Kings Cross
- a top 5 placement within his genre for one of his songs, “Mangoes”, in the internationally renowned “Song of the Year” competition in the US,
- presented his music by invitation at The Aria Casino in Las Vegas,
- appeared on Channel 7’s X Factor in backing the singing group “Mahogany” in the first live broadcast of the series,
- featured on Perez Hilton’s (Hollywood’s very own gossip guru) website
and has been invited to appear on a compilation album featuring male singer/songwriters from the south coast of New South Wales affectionately named “Songwaves”.
Currently completing his studies in Jazz at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and having made regular appearances at notable venues across Sydney, including multiple shows at “The Basement” in Circular Quay.
Tim Bowen is definitely one to watch in the coming months of 2011.
