Mangus Noteford
Mangus Noteford is the pseudonym of a young man that was raised in the central west of NSW named Ben Parsons, who moved to Wollongong in his late teens.
After sporadic intervals of playing guitar and bass throughout his youth, he took up playing drums about 4 years ago, and started a band called ‘Yardvark’. The other members of the band would leave all their instruments and recording gear at his house, so he started recording his own songs, which started as experimental noise, but progressively morphed into structured songs, playing all of the instruments himself. He prefers using lyrics as a narrative, using his immediate surroundings and feelings to express himself in many different styles of music. He still plays drums in Yardvark, and still collaborates with his many musical friends as often as possible!
