Jeremy Butterworth is a singer/songwriter and guitar teacher based in Kangaroo Valley. As a teenager he was trained in classical guitar and at 15 began playing in punk rock, ska, and blues cover bands around the live circuits of Canberra. He then joined a band in high school who went on to become the Bhagavad guitars. They recorded several albums with Red Eye Records and toured extensively for 7 years with artists such as Hothouse Flowers, Jenny Morris, The Church, The Go Betweens and The Cruel Sea.

Jeremy moved to Kangaroo Valley in 1996 and, working around his family commitments, began writing solo compositions, and performing regularly, both solo and with various local acts.

Writing, recording and performing are now fully back on Jeremy’s agenda with the recent reformation of the Bhagavad Guitars currently promoting their new album “Unfamiliar Places”. The Songwaves recording of ‘Small Price’ is one of his solo compositions which has a more acoustic guitar based sound.
