Christina Mullany
Singer/songwriter Christina Mullany hails from a small country town along the South Coast of New South Wales, but as a musician she is anything but sheltered. Influenced by the greats of pop, jazz and rock, and likened to a strange mixture of Kate Miller-Heidke and early Katie Noonan, Christina has been writing and performing her own songs around the Sydney, Illawarra and Shoalhaven regions for the last several years. She has performed with such artists as Liz Frencham, as well as supported acts at the Tea Club including Carra, Bennie James and The Hesitant Few, Annaleise Szota, Brendan McLean and played solo gigs at The Basement in Circular Quay. With her band Assai, she made it to two consecutive Illawarra Mercury Bluescope Band competition finals. Playing a variety of tunes, which encompass a range of genres and vocal styles, she provides a heartfelt and honest performance with a keyboard, a guitar, a pinch of quirk, a big voice, and an unshakeable smile.
